Ulladulla is located on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia in a district known as Shoalhaven City. Ulladulla is located on the coast directly east of Canberra, the capital of Australia. It forms the largest part of a seven kilometre stretch of unbroken urban development from the Burrill Lake in the south, to Narrawallee inlet in the north.

The town was established in 1859 with the primary goal of providing a port facilities for the local area. With a natural harbour Ulladulla has become a centre for the South Coast fishing industry and has the largest fishing fleet in the area.
Ulladulla is well known for its annual Blessing of the Fleet festival held at Easter time. The Blessing of the Fleet is a time honoured tradition of the local Italian Catholic community whereby they seek a blessing for the fishing fleet to secure the safe return of their fishers with bountiful catches from the sea.
