Welcome to Ulladulla Wiki, we're glad that you made it this far. As you may have gathered so far, we are a site that is open to editing by the public. If you live in the Milton-Ulladulla region then we would love you to sign up and start contributing. We hope to build a site with information for all sorts of people - from tourists to locals just looking for a new place to have lunch.

[edit] Wanted content

At the moment we don't have much content so our main priority is the basic articles about the area, if you're looking for something to do, why not pick a town (maybe where you live) and start writing about it. We don't have any formal requirements about what an article must contain but please try and keep the content neutral (the Wikipedia Neutral Point of View page is good reference).

To contribute content, start with any of the following:

• If you see a red link that points to something that you think might be interesting to write about, click on it! Red means that the page doesn't exist yet but someone has had the forethought to make a link to it.
• Click on the Special pages link on the left then click on the Wanted pages link. This gives you a list of all pages that have been linked to in articles but don't actually exist. The more links, the higher in the list. Click on any one of them to get started.
• Search for something that you're interested in writing about using the search box on the left. If your item doesn't exist you'll be given a link to Create this page. (See the note below about article naming conventions)
• Put a direct URL into your browser for a page that you think should exist. Most article URLs start with http://ulladulla.org/wiki/, put this into your browser followed by something you want to write about. For example, if you wanted to write about Burrill Lake, put in the URL http://ulladulla.org/wiki/Burrill_Lake (note: you can substitute an underscore for spaces, this is what the Wiki software will do anyway). [edit] Article naming conventions

To keep consistency, we ask that you adhere our article naming conventions. We use the same conventions as Wikipedia which can be found here. In summary, all article names should start with a capital letters with the first letter of the second and subsequent words in the name should be lower case except for proper nouns (such as names) in which case the first letter of each word in the article title should be capitalised. It's a bit more subtle than this and don't worry too much about it, if you get it wrong someone will probably come along after you and clean up anyway by renaming the page for you.

See the 'suggested pages' for some ideas on new content that people have posted. If you have your own ideas, post them there too.

See the 'help needed' page for details of help that people are after for the pages they are working on. Feel free to post your own items on that page too.

Try and remember that if you don't get it right then someone else will probably come along and fix it up for you, so please don't be afraid to just give it a go. The easiest way to learn is to just jump on in!

If you want to have a play with editing, head over to our Sandbox, it'll be periodically cleaned up.
